Self Breast Examination

Self breast examination only takes few minutes to be done, and it can be performed whenever and wherever the women desire. the following are steps to do the examination.

STEP 1

Start by looking at your breast on the mirror with your arms on the hip. we must look for any unusual size, shape, colour, swelling or distortion of the breast or nipple.

Next, raise your arm and look for any skin changes such as skin distortion or dimpling. Look for any nipple discharge.

 

 

STEP 3

 

Finally, feel your breast while lying down, using your fingers in a circular motion. feel for any mass or pain.

 

If you have detected any mass or abnormalities, you should seek medical attention immediately, as the mass can turn out to be cancers. Prevention is better than cure.
